Sandhills Rustic Design is owned and operated by Tracy and Lisa Spencer. Both Tracy and Lisa were born and raised in the Sandhills region of Nebraska. Lisa graduated college as a RN from Mary Lanning School of Nursing in Hastings, Nebraska. Tracy attended Casper College in Casper, Wyoming, and received an Associate of Art Degree in Welding. Tracy has been certified in mig and stick welding.

In August 2001, Tracy and Lisa moved their family to Mullen, NE. They purchased a 3600 sq. ft. welding business, formerly Franke Construction.

The population of Mullen is almost 560 people, located in the Sandhills 75 miles NW or North Platte, NE, and approximately 90 miles east of Alliance, NE. Mullen sets between the beautiful Loup and Dismal Rivers, which offer great water fun.

Mullen is also the home to the Ben Crenshaw designed Sand Hills Golf Course and the Jack Nicholas designed Dismal River Club. Mullen offers a super 9-hole golf course for the public, and both PBR world champion Justin McBride and former Tampa Bay Buccaneer and Super Bowl Champion John Howell graduated from this fine little town in Hooker County. Mullen hosts a large amount of friendly, honest people.

SRD has just recently designed and produced over 250 lighted chandeliers and fixtures for the Jack Nicholas designed Dismal River Club featured in site pictures.
